Preview the season premiere of 'Vikings'
Last year, the History channel ventured into scripted fare with the dramatic series Vikings. It proved to be a wise choice, as the show became the No. 1 new cable series of 2013.
Admittedly, I missed the first season, but friends have been telling me the show is worth checking out, and I like what I've seen of the new episodes.
Today I have an exclusive clip from Thursday's premiere that might entice you to jump on the Vikings train. (If you already love gritty dramas like Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy, it seems like this has similar appeal.)
In the amusing scene, the powerful Viking ruler Ragnar Lothbrok (played by Travis Fimmel) dares to suggest a more, er, convenient arrangement between his two lady loves, his strong-willed wife Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Princess Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland). Good luck, man.
Vikings also stars Donal Logue, Jessalyn Gilsig and Hunger Games alum Alexander Ludwig.
The second season premieres Feb. 27 at 10 p.m. ET on History.
The second series of Vikings will premiere on Amazon's LOVEFiLM from Friday February 28, 2014.
