Briana Evigan in Puncture Wounds (2014)

Briana has put on weight. Still fuckable though. It always irritates me when they insert 'sexy' scenes without much context or titillation factor attached to it. The latter was missing in Briana's pointless shower scene. If I want to see above-shoulder and implied 'nudity', I'll stick to network shows. BJ's daughter is prime candidate for T-and-A fest either in this year or in 2015. She's 28 this year. Expect an inevitable transition to small screen soon.

Briana is quite similar to her peers Maggie Grace and MEW. She hates the relentless and grueling world of network TV. The heavy schedule and months of work. Dreaded 20-22 episodes per season shoot. The  inflexibility of it all. The lack of time to pursue other interests (Maggie - traveling, MEW - singing and in case of Briana - pot).

Just like Maggie and MEW, Briana will feel out the current situation via a cable show. Do a recurring part for few weeks of work. Maggie did hers with Californication. MEW in Quarry pilot. Both soon come to realization that while it was relatively easy going on the set, your creative juice is flowing and actively involved in script discussion, something had to give. They were not prepared to go there just yet.

It's going to be interesting how MEW and Maggie - laid back characters that they are - will adjust themselves to nearly 6-7 months of shoot if the respective series receives season order.

It should be noted Maggie has done TV before Californication and hated every minute of it. Couldn't wait to exit the series. She would do the same with this Cusack series. At 31, Maggie must be thinking about starting a family as well. IMHO.

A superior actor in every way and comparison to Maggie and Briana, MEW isn't a 9-to-5 person in sharing a similar trait with those two. Undoubted talents aside, does she have the stomach or the aptitude to front a series? She basically had no choice. Needed a regular stint at her age and TV offers the best option. Her exit strategy (my lousy prediction): getting pregnant and trying to worm her way out of the series if 'Exposed' becomes a minor hit. The sad part about it all, MEW was a favorite among focus group and potentially the next telly star. Who knows? Maybe MEW will tough it out and adapt to the TV gig like a duck to water.
