The Walking Dead: Love Bite

The Walking Dead: Love Bite

I look forward to three things on Sunday evenings. Two of 'em are on TV. The Amazing Race and The Walking Dead. The pit of my belly was roiling in dreaded anticipation of more characters dying in TWD. I'm sick of it. The show is supposed to be about the characters, how they cope with the zombie apocalypse and surviving day by day. It shouldn't be about cliff-hangers and tuning in to see who's going to kick the bucket.
I'm sick and tired of shows killing off characters just for the sake of driving up ratings. Somehow it has become a necessity to bump-off one or two cast members in finale. Practically every cable series indulged in this nonsense at one time or another.
Thank God, TWD finale rose above the mire with an unexpected low-key climax. Rick uttering soon to be catchphrase of TWD Season 5.

I applaud the series but not AMC. The violent content in final episode of the season reached an unprecedented level. Zombie killing is one thing. Man on Man? The blood-letting was incredibly revolting even by cable standards. Do remember AMC is a basic cable. Apparently everything is fine and allowed except for titties. You don't want to traumatize the children after all. Ripping out a man's throat isn't real, moron. Stabbing and slicing is all simulation, dumbass. But nudity? That shit is real. I wouldn't be surprised if the F-word receive a pass soon on AMC original content - at PG-13 level. Bet some execs feel Rick's final quote would have been more effective if 'screwing' was replaced by 'fucking'.
