VisitorQ Special Review: House Of Cards [S2]

House of Cards is a great series. I think I liked S2 even more than S1. But still have one problem with series - it's too calculated, too sterile for me. Just like Kevin Spacey's Frank. At least S2 had more emotional vulnerability than S1 so it was big plus. 

Major minuses: Too little of Kate Mara (lol) and Kristen Connolly. 

I was hoping also for some/more action from Constance Zimmer, who I been waiting to see naked on-screen since her first day in Entourage.
But in the nudity department, it's still weak and maybe even more disappointing in S2. I mean there was less opportunity for some good nude scenes. But with "little" upgrade it could have been a great nudity carnival. Maybe not in every episode but at least in most of 'em. This is my guide (episode by episode) how HOC S2 could been a better show with some nudity.....

1. Truly naked and more naked Kate Mara.

5. Right at the beginning of the episode we have kinky threesome. But the only one girl there was clothed. Frances Eve is a lovely gal so why not some topless threesome?

6. Steamy scenes in the episode. Like literally. In opening scene Rachel Brosnahan tried to stay cool by rubbing ice on her body. She's alone in her flat. She could have gone topless in cold shower. If not topless, then at least bottomless when she's about to shower.

In the scene towards the end of the episode, she grabs Doug's ding-dong with "What you want? You want to fuck me?" mood. 

Improvement: she could have unbuttoned her shirt and unleash her breasts to make it more effective. Also Molly Parker in her first sex scene yet what we got is just the "the morning after". It's better we didn't get any real love scene but there should been some brief nudity when she dresses.

7. Big episode for Doug. First he sleeps with a girl from casino: Tammy played by Tanis Parenteau. She later show her ass in a distant shot. She should have gone topless either during the sex scene or later when she wakes up.

Two Chinese prostitutes tried to seduce Doug later in the same episode but he wasn't in the mood. Why not make the prostitutes naked as intended?

8. Another fine episode for Rachel. She is in her undies (those bouncing boobs :)  early on.

Later she and Kate Lyn's Lisa (who reminds me so much of Rose Byrne and Kate also resembles my big high school crush) have their first kiss. Pretty much I would leave this the way it was.

In the same episode Libby Woodbridge who played rape victim Megan picks-up some guy at a bar and fucks his brain out. Libby is a lovely lady as well so why not show her lady bits?


9. Great episode for nudity fest. First when Adam the Photographer finds out about the scandal, he could have had sex with his lovely fiancee played by (I think) model Carme Boixadera. Later Frank's man attempts to get a handle on the scandal by taking a pic of Stephanie Daldry (played by Susannah Hoffman) when she's showering - a superb chance for non sexual (T-and-A or at least only T) from Susannah. 


10. Not much in this episode. Molly Parker's Jackie fingered while talking how she likes pain. Zilch from Molly in all her sex scenes but it's Molly Parker who was naked a lot in previous films. A lot...and I mean a lot!

11. There was a great but too brief of a lesbian scene. One scene that I'm grateful wasn't shown: a threesome between Frank, his wife and his bodyguard Meechum. 


12. Finally in penultimate episode Rachel Brosnahan breaks-up with Kate Lyn Sheil. Very emotional scene. One of my favourite. Wouldn't it been nice touch if Rachel would want to taste Kate one more time before they go separate ways? Hopefully we will see these two amazing gals together again in S3.

So that's it. I want to say we'll get more in way of T-and-A in S3 but I seriously doubt it.
