‘I Spit On Your Grave 3′ is on the way!

OK, so I will happily admit that I thought Steven R. Monroe’s remake of the classic rape and revenge flick, I Spit on Your Grave, was superb, and possibly even bettered the original.

However, a sequel was pushing the boundaries of decency, and bordered on perverted and sick. There was no need for the sequel, and fans felt the same as the film was received some terrible reviews.

I wasn’t a fan of the sequel, but I have to applaud Jemma Dallender’s incredible performance.

Some disturbing news has been discovered by Bloody Disgusting, and a third film is being pre-sold at Cannes, with Cine Tel  Films once again looking after the film. No director or writer has yet been found, but some plot details and a sales poster have both been revealed by BD.

The plot actually sounds like the franchise is looking to move forward a bit, but I am still not convinced we need another rape and revenge film.

I Spit on Your Grave 3 will focus on a serial killer that uses a crisis hotline to target rapists. One of the counselor’s has a dark past, which sends Detectives sniffing in her direction — but is she the killer they’re looking for?
