The HeyUGuys Interview: Stacy Martin discusses her brave debut performance in Nymphomaniac
There are few films that have been spoken about quite as much as Nymphomaniac in recent months, as the controversial director Lars von Trier presents an explicit film, chronicling the life of a woman addicted to sex. That very woman is portrayed (in flashbacks) by the newcomer Stacy Martin, who we had the pleasure of sitting down with to discuss this audacious project.
Martin discusses her nerves and apprehensions at getting involved in such a bold feature film, and her experiences working alongside von Trier. She also tells us whether she met her porn double, if her parents have seen the movie yet, and offers her thoughts on the recent antics of a certain Shia LaBeouf.
The film will be released on demand
Those who would rather watch the film in private are in luck, as are the art-house lovers who don't live in a major city. On March 7, Nymphomaniac: Volume 1 will be on demand, and on March 21, the film will be released in selected theaters. Nymphomaniac: Volume II will be on demand on April 3, and in selected theaters on April 18.
